We just spent a great week changing the course of the food design history!!
A group of 22 creative people were convened in Perugia-Italy by the ADI, to design the space for the foodesignmanifesto that will take place in EXPO Milano 2015. The lab was sponsored by the Centro Estero Umbria that allowed us to work in one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities of Italy! (If you don’t trust me just check out some of Steve McCurry photographs made in Umbria) it was like living in a painting for a week!
The design process was quite a challenge to be honest, because for the first time we were facing a project of vast scales with really strong requirements. In the end we got to put our ideas together and create what we called something more than a space, an architectural experience! You can see the whole design process here! Or some teaser images on the official FB page.
The best part of it was meeting so many different people with such incredible minds full of energy and willing to do. I think we all agree that by the end of the week we felt pretty much like a family, which from a project (and personal) point of view is a link that if created enhances the passion and commitment put into the work.
We feel so honored for the opportunity and we are eager to see it in 3D! (I mean out of our screens)
